Our pilots offer their time voluntarily, and bring with them the necessary experience, qualifications and equipment to perform the role. If you have experience as an emergency service member but don't yet have the required flight qualifications, guidance is available to help you obtain the necessary qualifications, flight experience and equipment you need.

Required Experience

• Suitably experienced current or former member of a relevant emergency service 

• Remote pilot experience with demonstrable skills

Required Qualifications

• Remote pilot licence 

• Aeronautical radio operator qualification

​

Required Equipment

• Remotely piloted aircraft with ADSB-in, video broadcasting and adequate zoom capabilities

• Aeronautical radio transceiver

• In-field internet connection, mobile or satellite network.
